Position at Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation, Oklahoma City, OK.
Overview:
Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (“DGOC”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diversified Energy Company PLC, a US-based company listed on the NYSE (ticker: DEC) and LSE. DGOC owns and operates conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells, along with midstream pipelines and compression stations primarily in the Appalachian Basin. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our operations span Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and recently expanded into Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Responsibilities:
• Support Central Division operations as a Landman, focusing on resolving issues for Land, Operations, Midstream, and Accounting teams.
• Act as the initial contact for Lessors and property owners.
• Evaluate and negotiate routine well acquisitions and divestitures.
• Manage Non-Op well proposals and elections.
• Support Engineering, Drilling, and Operations teams.
• Prepare and execute assignments, lease agreements, surface damage agreements, and other Land & A&D documents.
• Manage Land Contractors or Land Brokers for specific projects.
• Review and understand Joint Operating Agreements, Farm-ins & Farm-outs, and other oil & gas agreements.
• Ensure proper communication and paperwork submission to Management.
• Resolve ownership issues and support acquisition due diligence.
• Serve as the project point-of-contact.
• Address operational hurdles such as access issues and landowner complaints.
• Research and document leases, rights-of-way, joint ventures, and related agreements.
• Gather, organize, and analyze title information; update internal title records.
• Identify and correct omissions or errors in leases or titles.
• Negotiate and settle damage claims.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Land, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years of in-house experience with an Oil & Gas company.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in negotiating complex land documents such as JOAs, farmout agreements, and letter agreements.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Highly organized with a strong work ethic.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Access and Excel), PDF, GIS, and oil & gas accounting software.
