Producers Midstream Management is a private equity backed midstream service provider based in Dallas, TX. Our corporate office in Dallas is seeking a Sr. Accountant.

This role is on-site working at our Dallas Corporate office.

SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant role is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting and audit, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines. This position is highly skilled and detail oriented.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare, review, and analyze complex financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing accruals, deferrals, and financial statement adjustments.
• Develop and maintain detailed account reconciliations, including intercompany transactions, fixed assets, ASC 842 lease accounting and general ledger accounts.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance by creating variance reports and explaining key drivers behind results.
• Coordinate and manage audit engagements, including consulting with external auditors, preparing audit schedules, and addressing audit inquiries.
• Assess and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures to enhance financial accuracy and safeguard company assets.
• Provide technical accounting support and guidance for new transactions, standards, or organizational changes.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Review annual and quarterly tax filings to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including corporate income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to address complex tax issues and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Maintain and reconcile tax accounts, ensuring timely payment of liabilities and accurate recording in financial systems.
• Company Credit Card coordination and follow through.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Master’s degree in accounting and finance.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Senior Accountant.
• 3-5 years accounting experience.
• 2-3 years of audit experience from a mid-size firm or equivalent.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Some operational accounting experience (not merely audit) preferred
• Advanced Excel skills are required, including proficiency in pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
