About the Role
Own and grow industrial absorbent sales in the Gulf Coast region to spill‐control programs at refineries, terminals, oil & gas contractors, and heavy manufacturing plants.This is a hands‐on, technical B2B sales role aimed at both distributors and large end‐users.
You’ll own prospecting, account development, and closing—working directly with operations, HSE, procurement, and field leadership to help customers reduce downtime, improve housekeeping, and meet spill-prevention and environmental compliance expectations.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and execute a territory plan covering Houston and the wider Gulf Coast (TX–LA), with clear targets for refineries, terminals, E&P/maintenance contractors, and large manufacturing plants.
• Identify, win, and grow key accounts by calling on EHS/HSE, maintenance, reliability operations, and purchasing stakeholders.
• Build and manage relationships with industrial MRO and safety distributors;run joint calls and programs to drive pull‐through at end‐user sites.
• Conduct on-site visits and product demonstrations; recommend usage solutions based on customer needs.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and presentations that sell on total cost of ownership (material + labor + disposal), not just price per bag.
• Maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline, update CRM, and provide accurate forecasts and activity reports.
• Build and manage a territory pipeline of upstream producers, midstream operators, and oilfield service companies in Greater Houston and surrounding areas.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and supply agreements in coordination with internal leadership.
• Attend industry events, safety meetings, and local networking opportunities to generate leads.
Ideal Candidate
• 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience (oil & gas, industrial supplies, safety, environmental services, MRO, or consumables preferred).
• Track record of success selling into upstream / production environments and/or oilfield services.
• Comfortable working a territory with frequent face-to-face customer visits.
• Strong consultative selling skills: discovery, ROI/value framing, and closing.
• Familiarity with field operations and safety culture; able to interface confidently on location.
• Organized, self-directed, and consistent with follow-through.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (engineering –chemical / mechanical / industrial / environmental – or related technical/business field). Equivalent experience considered.
Nice to Have
• Existing network across Houston-area producers, service companies, and HSE/procurement teams.
• Experience selling consumables tied to spill response, environmental compliance, or housekeeping.
• CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
