Duties:
• Conduct oil, gas, and energy title examinations and render title opinions.
• Perform full title abstracting and ownership preparation.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure the accuracy and quality of title reports.
• Advise clients on property rights, ownership issues, and mineral rights related to energy assets.
• Draft and review legal documents related to oil and gas titles.
• Provide support and legal counsel to clients regarding title and land ownership concerns.
Requirements:
• Must be licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Wyoming, or Texas.
• Demonstrated experience in rendering oil and gas title opinions, or equivalent experience in full title abstracting and ownership preparation.
• Strong understanding of the oil, gas, and energy sector’s legal landscape.
Education:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active law license in at least one of the listed states (Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Wyoming, or Texas).
Skills:
• Expertise in oil, gas, and energy title law.
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
