Oilfield Labourers - 10/4, Lots of OT - $20/hr - Houston, TX
SurgeHire is hiring Drilling Rig Laborers to support rig yard and new-build activities in the Houston area. These workers will inspect materials, assist with rig-up and rig-down, maintain organized jobsites, and help train new crew members on processes and tools. The role offers a 10 days on, 4 days off rotation with lots of overtime. Ideal candidates have stable hands-on work experience, can work safely in all weather, and are comfortable with physically demanding duties.

What You’ll Need
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of stable work experience in farming, construction, heavy equipment, military, or similar hands-on environments
• Knowledge of rig yard operations
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English
• Clear communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking English
• Ability to give and receive feedback and ask for clarification when needed
• Ability to multitask and follow through on assignments
• Ability to work at heights
• Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds frequently
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively with crew members, management, and third parties
• Ability to maintain forklift and man lift certifications
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to complete required training
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl
• Good vision and hearing for safety
• Strong memory and spatial awareness
• Ability to stay alert during long shifts
• Ability to give and follow directions promptly
• Ability to use air and hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, and sledge hammers
• Commitment to company policies, quality standards, and an incident-free culture
• Ability to keep the jobsite clean and organized and maintain tools and equipment
