World Oil Environmental Services recycles, produces, and transports vital petroleum products while providing essential environmental services across California and the western United States. We are seeking an experienced Class A Driver for a full-time position in Bakersfield, CA where you will pick up and deliver hazardous waste/material and other products, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance at every step.
Key Responsibilities
• Operates a commercial vehicle safely on a daily basis.
• Plans routes efficiently and completes customer service requests.
• Completes pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety.
• Performs basic vehicle maintenance and fueling.
• Drives to customer sites, safely pumps oil or picks up drums, and offloads materials into railcars or trailers.
• Secures loads during transit, including blocking and bracing.
• Communicates effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.
• Completes all necessary paperwork, including manifests, shipping, and receiving documents.
• Participates in required annual training sessions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Commercial Class A Driver's License with Hazmat, TSA, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements.
• At least 2 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50 LBS.
• Experience with both Manual and Automatic Transmission.
• Ability to work a consistent schedule (5 days on, 2 days off) with start times that may vary between 3:00 AM - 12:00 PM depending on operational needs.
