Job Description
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, while also supporting the ongoing success of existing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients within the assigned territory or market segment.
• Conduct daily outreach through calls, emails, and other communication methods to generate leads and initiate contact with potential customers.
• Serve as a key resource for client needs, offering solutions related to logistics, pricing, and service agreements.
• Maintain consistent communication with assigned accounts, including participation in performance reviews, updates on process improvements, and discussions around new initiatives.
• Address and resolve customer concerns, service issues, and special requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Support additional tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) is required.
• Experience with optimization tools is preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
• The team is exclusively looking for candidates with oil and gas and/or project cargo experience.
Additional Expectations:
• Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and leadership, to ensure client satisfaction and profitability.
• Participate in account reviews and contribute to the development of strategic proposals.
• Present results and recommendations to senior leadership for approval and implementation.
