Business Development Manager
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new commercial opportunities in the Oil & Gas sector, focusing on engineered metal components, castings, and machining solutions. This remote role requires candidates to be based in Texas with relevant industry experience in Texas and Oklahoma. The role involves managing the full sales cycle, building strong client relationships with key industry players (OEMs, EPCs, operators), and aligning customer needs with technical capabilities for revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas market
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
• Manage the sales cycle from prospecting through contract closure
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure solution feasibility
• Prepare tailored proposals, quotations, and presentations
• Negotiate pricing, delivery, and commercial terms
• Attend industry events and trade shows to promote company services
• Report sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline status to senior management
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, International Trade, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development
• At least 2 years of direct experience in the Oil & Gas industry (upstream, midstream, or EPC)
• Experience with metal components, manufacturing, or sourcing services is preferred
• Fluent in English (oral and written) and proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Deep understanding of procurement processes, technical drawings, industrial sales cycles, and contract negotiations
• Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills
• Must be based in Texas with familiarity of the Texas and Oklahoma markets
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree (MBA or Engineering) is a plus
